You have to check the starter you offer for download (not the launcher). It contains a virus!

It not a virus. The program intercepts some functions of game and antiviruses on it react.

That doesn't explain why it showed up on a system scan two days after I deleted it, though. Maybe I dropped a coppy somewhere accidentaly, but I don't think so...

Please post exact detection resolution from your antivirus software.
Most likely it's either heuristic detection or false positive.

Uff, I have no Idea. I'm using Avira Personal, I guess you know that. And yes, it does report Viruses that aren't there (talk about all those keygens...). I just thought it a bit odd that the file showed up on a scan two days after I deleted it. Probably should have checked the location before giving Avira the permission to space it.
Anyways, as far as I can see no harm has come of it. So I probably just misplaced a copy somewhere, and that showed up on the scanner. keep up the good work!

actual pioneer screenshot
the cool thing i like, is the color variable used for for materials.
one ship, many variations. some might like a blue one, some a red/green or crimson/yellow.
and suits to my original nfs4 models which textures are all grey and you can specify color sets by alpha channel.
something i have to suggest for pioneer, one .obj many color(sets). since alpha is not needet for transparency/illumination in pioneer (a different model with different material).
maybe paint(colorize) your ship when purchase (like a car) would be nice.

for god's sake, i don't use any starter.
make a nice batch or two to copy/load your disired ffewin.ini in front of ffed3d. works nice and no unsuspected surprises happen.

"starter" - for beauty. Adds a loading screens (at the start of the game). This is not for ini, now. For ini - "launcher".
Now ТехноМаг creating a new "starter" (GMod) - for best fps, for accelerate loading of the game, for to disable the controls when the game window is not active......
+ control-setting.. and...

yes antivirus progs behave sometimes strange actually mine (f-secure)
reported old car CAD as containing a trojan 
might be because a hacked it to make it run better under XP, but for shure no virus.
it has been reported as dangerous in the online repository of f-secure, i guess you can discard software if people report them as a potential attacker, so they get "abandoned" for the common user.
personally i have no idea who does such things, but it must be a very bad character 
if you ask me, one of the "big" companies, other have no interest in such things.

btw. do you know Buffet2? (well known JJFFE trainer/cheat program, updated for use with FFED3D)

a question from a new user, maybe one of you knows the problem, to us (at ssc & frontier forums) and me it's very uncommon and unknown.
